Daniel M. Harrison II

As the Managing Partner at Imperium Strategies, Mr. Harrison believes that any goal, whether it is business or personal, is attainable if there is an effective strategy in place. The same is true with government relations. “For any business to be successful it must have an effective strategy,” he says. “My job as a lobbyist is not only to solve an immediate problem, but to help my clients have an efficient long-term strategy for achieving both political and business goals. Understanding each client’s business is an integral part of understanding the particular needs of every client.”

At the firm, Mr. Harrison is focused on public policy, legislative relations, and political consulting across multiple states. He works with businesses and organizations to recognize legislative and regulatory obstacles and the appropriate method to prevail over them. He dedicates a portion of his time to business development and corporate strategy to maximize the overall goals of his clients.

Over Mr. Harrison’s 11-year career, he has been able to develop an expertise in government affairs, business development, and corporate strategy. He has successfully worked with multiple organizations and associations to maximize the effectiveness of grassroots political networks. Prior to founding Imperium Strategies, Mr. Harrison worked as a government affairs specialist for WellCare Health Plan, Inc., a Fortune 150 company. He successfully managed WellCare’s political strategy in multiple states and sat on various boards and political committees. He began his career working for the Mississippi Hospital Association. He was directly responsible for providing assistance and information to hospital executives regarding any legislative and regulatory hurdles that would directly impact their industry.

In addition to politics, Mr. Harrison is a proud and involved father to his two sons, Dan III and Sam Jackson, while also remaining an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys spending his weekends with his children, on a golf course, at the lake, hunting or fishing.
